We are proud to introduce the newest members to Kitopi’s Global Leadership team - Lays Laraya, Director of Business Excellence and Grant Nash, Director of Property. Joining Kitopi as Director of Business Excellence, Lays oversees the implementation and continuous improvement of business processes to deliver consistent quality, food safety and HSE.
Lays Laraya began her career at the Walt Disney Company as a Hotel Operations Manager. She then moved to the UAE, to pursue her career in Business and Quality Excellence with the Jumeirah Group and Kempinski Hotels, and has also worked with the Department of Economic Development as a Team Leader of Business Excellence across various industries.
When asked what made her choose Kitopi, Lays stated,
Tech companies and startups have been a source of insight for improvement and innovation to influence change in my role of managing excellence for international organizations. The opportunity to become part of one really excited me. Excitement then met reason when I came to understand the manner by which Kitopi is transforming how F&B is done. I wanted to be part of a team that will alter the way by which the industry operates.
In her spare time, Lays likes to, “fly Emirates, and only Emirates”, running a hugely popular Instagram account, @skywardsfreak, documenting her travels with the airline company.
Also joining the world’s leading managed cloud kitchen platform, is Grant Nash as Global Director of Property.
Grant is responsible for the full property cycle. From real estate, site acquisition, effective design and project management as well as portfolio management. Originally from South Africa, Grant has 25 years of experience in the Commercial Property Industry, having traveled and lived all over the globe.
Before joining Kitopi, Grant worked as a Head of Property in Emirates Leisure Retail.
A family man that enjoys doing everything with his family, Grant’s hobbies include running a triathlon and barbecuing.
Nash joins Kitopi because he is a firm believer in the company’s mission. When asked what he thinks the future of cloud kitchens hold, Nash said,
Cloud kitchens will deliver amazing food quality and diverse menus to people who wouldn't otherwise have access. The market will become increasingly competitive, so staying agile and hungry will keep us ahead of the pack.
Welcome to the Kitopi family, Lays and Grant!
